Ponte City

Ponte City is a landmark building in the Johannesburg inner city neighborhood Hillbrow. Built in 1975, Ponte City has 54 floors and is the tallest residential structure in Africa. The building has an innovative hollow core along its entire height. Airport Media has had the exclusive advertising rights for Ponte City since April 2005.

The advertising structure, currently displaying Vodacom creative, is the largest billboard in the Southern hemisphere, measuring 18m high and 130m in circumference. The total area of the site is 2340 m2.

Commenting on their decision to maintain their presence on this high profile advertising structure, Andre Beyers, Director Advertising and Brand Management at Vodacom, said, "We are delighted that we are able to continue to dominate the Johannesburg skyline."

Airport Media's success in Airport advertising has motivated the company to expand it's activities to outdoor advertising, launching Outdoor Media in 2005.
